Resin bonded diamond grinding wheel is a diamond grinding tool with a certain shape, which is made of resin bonded powder, filled material, hot-pressed, hardened and machined. Due to the advantages of good elasticity, impact resistance, self-sharpening and high grinding efficiency, this kind of grinding wheel is widely used in the machining industry. At present, among all kinds of diamond grinding wheels with binders, resin binders account for the largest proportion. Abroad, the hard alloy workpiece 80% ~ 90% is processed with this kind of grinding wheel, it is gradually replacing the silicon carbide grinding wheel. The variety and output of domestic resin diamond grinding wheel are increasing year by year, the quality is improving, and the application is more and more extensive.

Resin bond diamond grinding wheel raw materials

1. abrasive

There are two main types of diamond abrasives used to make resin-bonded diamond grinding wheels:

(1) RVD diamond

This kind of diamond has a rough surface, often in the shape of an irregular needle or flake. Although its strength is not high, its self-sharpening is good.

(2) diamond coated with gold

RVD diamond surface is plated with titanium, nickel or copper or titanium.

2. Combining with the agent

At present, the resin binders mainly include phenolic resin, polyimide resin, 11-10 black bakelite powder and other newly developed varieties.

(1) phenolic resin

It is a white or pale yellow translucent solid powder, easy to absorb moisture in the air and agglomerate, specific gravity 1.25, can be dissolved in alcohol and acetone. It is thermoplastic resin before adding ullotropine. After joining methenamine, heated to 170 ℃ ~ 180 ℃ can become a thermosetting resin, decomposition, starting about 236 ℃, 300 ℃ above carbide. Its bending strength can reach 85 ~ 105MPa, compression strength 70 ~ 21MPa, mohs hardness 124 ~ 128, linear expansion coefficient 2.5 ~ 6.0 x 10. Strong acid and strong base have certain influence on it. The technical conditions of phenolic resin powder used in the manufacture of diamond grinding wheels are shown in table 10-12.
